Tara and Chris Alsop

Tara and her husband Chris came to the church in July, 2007.  Tara serves as the worship leader, and Chris is an integral part of the worship team.  Tara has had a heart for serving God through music ministry since high school, where she felt a calling to use her musical gifts for God.  She has been involved in music ministry in various capacities since then.  After earning a BA in music at Vanguard University, she spent two years as a Missionary Associate in Japan, teaching music at a small Christian school.    Upon her return to the U.S., she earned a MA In education and continued to teach in the public schools—which she discovered to be a true mission field!  While a teacher in California, she met and married the love of her life, Chris—also a teacher.   Chris serves faithfully with Tara on the worship team—singing, playing the bass, and assisting with sound; he also serves on the ministry council. 

Favorite Hobby:
Shopping at garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, Ebay and Craigslist...I LOVE to find a great bargain and get a good deal!  I also enjoy gardening, cooking and reading.

Writing music.
